PIF LONDON CHAMPIONSHIP TEES OFF AT CENTURION WITH GOLF SAUDI’S COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT IN FULL FLOW

(London, England – August 9, 2025) The PIF London Golf Championship kicked off at Centurion Club, reaffirming its status as one of the key stops on the Ladies European Tour (LET) calendar and as a continuation of Golf Saudi’s commitment to developing and promoting the global reach of golf while empowering women through the sport.

The Golf Saudi-backed tournament is stopping in London after successful events in Riyadh and Korea before closing out its season with events in Houston, U.S in September and Shenzhen, China in November,

This year, the tournament prize fund has been increased to $2m USD, further enhancing its appeal to the world’s top players and rising talents, making it one of the most anticipated events of the sporting season.

Unique Community Activities

Alongside the competition, the championship featured a range of accompanying activities that enhanced community engagement. These included Trophy Tour visits to multiple golf clubs, involving hundreds of children and their parents, along with the distribution of hundreds of tournament flyers.

The event also hosted training programs and workshops as part of Golf Saudi’s Go Golf initiative, simulator training sessions, and special visits to community associations such as the Saudi Community Club in London, as well as participation from women’s groups like the Skratch Women Golf Group.

Spectators also enjoyed a variety of activities during the Golf Sixes tournament, which brought together dozens of children and their families.

Elevated Green, a series of discussion panels with leading global business leaders and a partnership between Golf Saudi, the Public Investment Fund and PIF Global Series, also discussed the growing impact golf is having on the KSA economy in front of an engaged audience at Centurion.

The speakers included Amanda Staveley, Co-Director, PCP Capital Partners UK, and Molly Duff, Global Co-Head, Financial Institutions Coverage, Standard Chartered, and topics included the growing impact of rising industries such as AI and FinTech on the Saudi economy.

With this variety of activities, the PIF London Golf Championship continues to deliver a comprehensive sporting and social experience, reflecting the vision of Golf Saudi and the Public Investment Fund (PIF) to make golf a platform for sporting excellence and cultural exchange.

The championship is part of the recently launched PIF Global Series under the Ladies European Tour, aimed at accelerating the growth of women’s golf worldwide and enhancing its presence through five key stops across the globe.

With a total series prize fund of $13m USD, it stands among the highest outside of the Majors, underscoring PIF’s commitment to supporting women’s sport and providing sustainable professional pathways for female golfers.
