(Houston, Texas – 28 August 2025) The Aramco Houston Championship is set to welcome one of golf’s biggest stars as Major champion Danielle Kang has confirmed her place in the field for the highly anticipated event, taking place 5-7 September 2025, at Golfcrest Country Club in Pearland, Texas.
Kang, a six-time LPGA Tour winner and the 2017 KPMG Women’s PGA Champion, will bring her world-class talent and competitive edge to Houston as part of the PIF Global Series on the Ladies European Tour.
The tournament will also feature a star-studded line-up of Golf Saudi ambassadors and international standouts, including Charley Hull, Carlota Ciganda, Celine Boutier, Anne Van Dam, Alison Lee, Bronte Law, Pauline Roussin-Bouchard, Muni He (Lily), and Marianne Skarpnord, promising fans a week of world-class action.
This distinguished group of Golf Saudi ambassadors embodies the organisation’s vision of making the game more accessible, engaging new audiences, and shaping a lasting legacy for the future of women’s golf. Their participation in Houston underscores Golf Saudi’s dedication to delivering not just world-class competition, but also meaningful opportunities that champion and empower women in the sport.
Kang said: “The Aramco Houston Championship is a great example of how the PIF Global Series is elevating women’s golf. It’s bringing world-class events to incredible venues and giving players opportunities to compete at the highest level. Being part of a field like this, in a city with such a rich sporting culture, is something I really value.”
The event also boasts a strong local connection, with several standout collegiate talents who honed their games in Texas set to compete. Representing Texas A&M are Blanca Fernandez and Adela Cernousek, while Sara Kouskova brings her experience from the University of Texas. Hannah Screen, who spent two years at the University of Houston before completing her collegiate career at the University of Oklahoma, adds further depth to the field. Texas Tech University is also well-represented with Shannon Tan and Amy Taylor, showcasing the strength of the Lone Star State’s golf programs and underlining the depth of local talent in the lineup.
The Aramco Houston Championship marks the PIF Global Series’ debut in Texas, bringing its groundbreaking vision to elevate women’s professional golf to one of the sport’s most vibrant communities. With Houston’s deep ties to Aramco and a thriving local golf culture, the city provides the perfect stage for this premier event.
As the penultimate stop on the newly launched Ladies European Tour (LET) series, the PIF Global Series is redefining the landscape of women’s golf. Backed by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), the initiative is delivering world-class tournaments, expanding
playing opportunities, and showcasing elite talent across key international markets, all with the goal of accelerating the growth of the women’s game on a global scale.
Tickets are now available, starting at $15 for Friday, $20 for Saturday and Sunday, or grab a full weekend pass for just $50. Please visit this link. For more details on the PIF Global Series and the Aramco Houston Championship, visit www.pifglobalseries.com
