Event Information

The tournament witnessed 111 LET professionals and 37 amateurs compete at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club for an impressive prize pot. Staged in collaboration with Golf Saudi and the Saudi Golf Federation, the 54-hole event showcased a variation of formats, broadcasted domestically and globally to more than 340million homes across five continents.

Emily Kristine Pederson took home the individual and team prizes, collecting a full sweep of trophies across the 10 days. Fellow professionals Michele Thomson and South Africa’s Casandra Hall also took home the team trophy with Amateur Matt Selby.

Tournament Format

  • Teams: 36x teams of four (3 professionals and 1 amateur)
  • Format: Individual stroke-play. Best two total scores from team of four each day. Team and individual scoring running concurrently
  • Prize Fund: $300k USD Team, $200k USD Individual
  • Start: Two-tee start each day
  • Ranking points: Event will hold Rolex Ranking (World Ranking) points, Solheim Cup qualification points and Race to Costa del Sol points
  • Team Selection: Draft system will take place the week before the event

Where can I park?

Parking is free of charge and available next to the course, please follow directional signs when arriving into King Abdullah Economic City.

Is there disabled parking?

Yes, there is disabled parking for those who require assistance. Please follow signs to Car Park 1.

Can I bring a child's buggy/pushchair?

Yes, but please keep it to the designated cart paths.

Can I bring camera?

Yes, but please do not use it when players are taking their shots.

Can I bring a bag/rucksack?

Yes, but please note random bag searches are in operation. Please see below the list of prohibited items.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Food and Refreshments will be available on the course and in the spectator village. If you would prefer to bring your own food and drink you are welcome, but we do not allow big coolers or picnics on the course itself.

Can I bring dogs to the event?

Only guide dogs are allowed access. No other pets are permitted.

Can I gain access with my e-ticket on my phone?

Yes, as long as it is from the official event ticketing site.

Is there a dress code?

Please dress according to local customs and laws. Make sure to pack clothes to handle the changing weather conditions.

Are children allowed access?

Yes, children and families are welcome and encouraged to attend. We have a number of activities planned for families within the spectator village area. Children under 16 are free when accompanied by an adult.

  • Over 1500 tests to be conducted including three for each player, caddy and tournament staff member
  • Tournament staff and players will undertake test upon arrival in KAEC, before being permitted to enter safe zones ahead of tournament where they will be housed in two specified hotels
  • Independent health consultants specialising in health and safety, risk assessment and COVID-19 best practices, including Dr Andrew Murray, key advisor to Sport England and technical advisor to the World Health Organisation (WHO), will be overseeing the event
  • A two-metre physical distance is required to be maintained at all times, with players and caddies the only exception.

Saudi Arabia is opening its doors to the world through its new tourist visa. A fast and simple online system, enabling international visitors from eligible countries to apply for an eVisa to visit wonderful destinations, such as KAEC, for the Saudi International.

The eVisa will be a one-year, multiple entry visa, allowing tourists to spend up to 90 days in the country.

  • Wear appropriate clothing, in accordance to local cultural rules
  • Remain still and quiet when a player is taking a shot. This includes refraining from taking photos, or making any noise that may distract the players
  • Stay outside the designated rope lines and follow the direction of the on-course marshalling team
  • Do not touch or pick up a players ball, even if it falls outside of the rope lines
  • Do not ask for autographs or photos with the players while they are on-course, opportunities will be available following their round
  • Keep your phone or personal handheld electronics set on silent while on the course, use only in designated “phone zones”
  • Use designated restrooms and catering facilities as shown on site maps
  • Please refrain from public shows of affection
  • Have fun!
  • No ladders, (including step ladders), boxes, crates, (including folding crates), periscopes, and other similar items used to achieve an elevated viewing position.
  • No lawn or oversize chairs, folding chairs (with the exception of seating/tripod sticks)
  • No items which are, or in the opinion of IMG (or any authorised person) could be used as a weapon, including firearms, knives, and personal protection sprays.
  • No pyrotechnic devices including fireworks, explosives, smoke canisters, flares, laser pointers or similar items
  • No noise producing devices including air horns, portable speakers, PA systems, megaphones or similar items used for amplification or broadcast.
  • No unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), including drones, model aircraft, kites or similar airborne crafts/items.
  • No bicycles, skateboards, skates and other ride on equipment on the golf course, except those required to be used as mobility aids by registered persons with mobility impairment.
  • No promotional, commercial, political, or items deemed offensive of whatever nature, including but not limited to clothing, banners, signs, symbols and leaflets used for ambush marketing or other similar unauthorised promotional purposes.
  • No professional cameras and video cameras or any photographic equipment used for commercial purposes.
  • All bags may be subject to search. Oversized bags deemed inappropriate by IMG (and/or authorised person) may be denied entry and will be required to be returned to your vehicle.
  • No pets except for service animals.
